International Alert is looking for an exceptional peacebuilding professional to lead its Caucasus programme, working with partners in the Georgia/Abkhazia and Armenia/Azerbaijan/Nagorny Karabakh conflict contexts to address the drivers of conflict and build prospects for peace. You will lead and develop Alert’s peacebuilding work in the Caucasus, including development of strategic priorities and areas of new work. You will manage the team and the programme, supporting partners and ensuring our quality peacebuilding achieves its intended outcomes.

You will be a proven leader, with the ability to develop strategy, manage staff, and maintain relationships with a wide range of interlocutors. You will have significant peacebuilding, management and fundraising experience. You will have a track record of successfully managing projects and programmes in difficult operating environments. A good level of English and Russian language ability is essential for this role.
