In this context, MSF is seeking a: Praxis deployment and support coordinator


The Praxis Deployment and Support Coordinator is in charge of managing a team of Mobile Implementation Officers (MIOs) and the coordination of their field visits, taking into account efficient application deployment in line with best practices in MSF field projects. The post holder will also be responsible for providing support to fields already using Praxis application.

Essential Functions :

Under the overall supervision of the HMIS (Health Management Information System) Team Lead:

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

Deployment team management :

  • Design and manage deployment planning, staffing, and support
  • Facilitate the orientation and integration of the MIO team (i.e. weekly team meetings, individual follow-up, escalation of blockers, etc.)
  • Supervise collaboration within the MIO team and with the fields, coordinations, and Cells (i.e. conflict management, misunderstandings, etc.)
  • Serve as the focal point for the MIO team in monitoring of their activities
  • Ensure the administrative management and follow-up of the MIOs

Coordinate and oversee Praxis implementations with operation department :

  • Plan and coordinate the deployment schedule with the Cells and according to operational priorities
  • Coordinate with the concerned departments to arrange field visits for the MIO team
  • Coordinate project management with operations

Monitor and follow the deployment progress :

o Direct operational preparation processes and procedures including, project set-up, roles and responsibilities, non-functional and functional attributes of operational activities for the MIOs

o Develop and update deployment tools

o Monitor and follow-up on the progress of Praxis deployments and provide feedback to HMIS team

o Identify and determine the scope of implementation and maintenance of the system, including the review of project activities and organization related to Praxis data collection and monitoring via follow-up visits or remote support

Ensure continuous support for Praxis end-users :

  • Follow HIS-support email and provides responses to Praxis related questions
  • Provide specific support to solve functional problems faced by end-users through emails and video/voice calls
  • Provide PRAXIS briefings, trainings and debriefings to Medical Coordinators, Medical Team Leader and other Medical Field positions
  • Collect user experiences and feedback and provides suggestions for improvement of Praxis
  • Contribute to the development of the training strategy and material in collaboration with the HMIS training coordinator
  • Collaborate with other members of the technical support team

Other duties and responsibilities :

Ensure the replacement of MIO positions if necessary for certain activities :

  • Carry out the coordination, data preparation, training, and assessment for a Praxis deployment in place of a MIO

Profile :


  • Experience with team management
  • Diploma or formal training in medical, para-medical, or epidemiology
  • Field experience with MSF in medical or coordination positions
  • Experience with data management (data collection, data analysis, project evaluation, project planning, epidemic surveillance, etc.)
  • Experience with DHIS2 / Praxis Health Information Systems is an asset

Language: French and English (oral and written)

Skills :

  • Project management : prioritization, monitoring and follow-up of a project plan
  • Experience in facilitating and evaluating training workshops
  • Experience with MS Office tools : Excel, word, PowerPoint, skype/video
  • Very good knowledge of functional domains and MSF operational processes
  • Willingness and desire to work with computer applications

Statute :

CDD of 8 months full time. Based in Paris. Regular Business trip on the field.

Start date : August 2021.

Salary and benefits : 41,6K€ over 13 months. Health insurance 100% covered by MSF. Restaurant checks with a face value of 9 (60% covered by MSF). 50% coverage of public transport costs.
