Timely and strategic execution of administrative support and logistics functions is critical for our Major Gifts fundraising team at CARE. That’s where the Regional Development Associate comes in. The Regional Development Associate is a critical team member that provides dynamic administrative support to both the Executive Director and a team of 5-6 colleague who are based in Atlanta and Washington D.C.

The Regional Development Associate utilizes their expert donor database (CRM) management skills and eye towards efficiency improvement to ensure excellent administrative support to the fundraising team in addition to targeted donor stewardship. From managing calendars, to providing event and stewardship support, to working across teams to secure timely database reports, the Regional Development Associate handles key administrative functions so that the team can focus on external fundraising.

The Regional Development Associate we are seeking is a detailed CRM superuser who thrives in an environment in which they provide heavy administrative support. They are reliable, great at follow up and seeing projects big and small through to the end and are strategic partners in internal process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides key internal support to the Executive Director and the regional team with general administration support around budget and expense reconciliation, calendars, supplies, core mailings, donor stewardship needs, etc.
  • Provides administrative support to Executive Director and the regional team by helping with scheduling and preparing for internal and external meetings. Key duties include drafting agendas, providing research, drafting briefing documents, creating presentations, taking notes, and managing key internal follow up.
  • Supports the calendars, CRM (Salesforce) data entry and database reports for the entire team. This includes maintaining and reviewing internal reports of gifts, donations, pledges, interactions, etc. for accuracy and completion.
  • Manages donor event logistics and coordination by assisting in the event planning, managing invitation and RSVP lists, providing on-site event support and managing event logistics like catering.
  • Leads internal process improvement for the team in all areas with an emphasis on CRM management and document knowledge management.
  • Provides support for donor stewardship in the form of managing the execution of 5+ donor mailings for 700+ CARE donors each year.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an office environment providing administrative support to senior staff, team members and external constituents
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge); Salesforce superuser preferred
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter with ability to be able to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective “customer service” orientation toward all colleagues
  • Strong administrative and organization skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to lead multiple internal projects and manage all moving parts including scheduling, cross-team communication, production, and deadlines
  • Problem solver who can take initiative, set priorities, and work independently under general direction
  • Confident and clear communicator, written and verbal
