The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the**- "Emerging Innovations"Programme Manager, Safe Back to School** at Homebased with ability to work to UK timezones.

Scope

Reports to: Operations Lead, Safe Back to School Initiative

Working relationships: CUC Steering Committee; Country Offices; Technical Advisers in 3+ offices; Awards; Innovation Advisers; SB2S Task Team; Resource Mobilisation.

Staff reporting to this post: N/A

Budget responsibilities: Total portfolio currently valued at $700,000+ with high likelihood of growth

Role Dimensions: This role entails high level of coordination, monitoring and supporting performance of approx. 4-5 pilot countries (incl. Uganda, Afghanistan and 2 others).

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • 5+ years of experience working in operational roles at country office level.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with an ability to turn abstract ideas into tangible projects.

  • Confidence in convening a wide range of stakeholders from across the movement.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation, steering and coaching.

  • High levels of organisation; an ability to juggle different priorities.

  • Solid experience in management of finance and budget monitoring and risk management.

  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy-in.

  • Experience in fundraising, including pitching, proposal development and donor scoping.

  • Positive "can do" attitude!

  • Commitment to Save the Children values.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering multi-office initiatives.
  • Previous experience with similar focus on innovation.
  • Technical understanding of EdTech, Teach at the Right Level, CVA and/or Child Protection.

We can offer circa £ 42,000 per annum ( If based in UK) with an option of flexible of working hours
