RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for providing direct financial and operational support to the FP&A Manager and other team members in the Finance & Accounting Unit with a focus on financial reporting and analysis, budget preparation and monitoring, as well as process and system improvements.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development of short and long-term operational planning by providing the financial information and analysis required to ensure successful development and implementation of the financial and operational business strategy.
  • Monitor and report cash receipts and expenditures by grants, prepare account statement preparation and any other financial information to clients as required.
  • Coordinate PFSCM and other program budget and forecasting development, closely monitor spending against budget.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, working closely with Accounting & Process & Systems teams.
  • Perform on-going analysis of budgetary status and impact of supplemental needs and requests, prepare periodic and ad-hoc analyses of Budget/Forecast versus Actual for revenue and expenses.
  • Produce financial reports, cash forecast, and conduct appropriate financial analysis of revenues and expenditures for both internal and external clients.
  • Establish and maintain the new financial reporting system using Power BI and other process improvements as needed, working closely with IT Unit.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve data collection. Develop and implement process improvements for financial analysis and monitoring.
  • Prepare SOPs, work instructions, and related supporting documents based on Quality Management Systems’ guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional and Technical Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
  • 7+ years’ proven finance, accounting, or business experience working with donor-funded development contracts, international projects.
  • Experience with commercial supply chain organizations is preferred.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills including comfortably working with large data set, experience with creating complex financial models and efficiently communicating results through the use of supporting tables, graphs, and presentation quality materials.
  • Change management experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Costpoint, PeopleSoft, SAP or any other ERP system); and advanced Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar business intelligence tool.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherland.

  • Must possess a high level of motivation and demonstrated aptitude in problem solving financial and transactional analysis, with a strong attention to detail.

Salary commensurate with experience.
