Know our team
Nutrition International’s Program Operations Unit is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Nutrition International’s core program interventions including program development, design, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, and grant management, including setting annual operational planning, budgeting and review processes. The unit comprises a global team of professionals located in our 10 core countries across Asia, Africa and our headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B pharm), Public Health, or in a related field of study. Master’s degree is preferred. You have 4 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical procurement, or supply management. You have the knowledge and ideally the experience with procurement according to international standards of pharmaceutical product compliance standards (such as GMP, ISO, USP).
About the role
In this role you will:
- Manage the annual procurement and donation of Vitamin A capsules (VAC) to more than 55 countries (via UNICEF).
- Support the operationalization, Implementation, and management of relevant vitamin A capsule initiatives.
- Lead the procurement of other nutrition commodities, including Zinc, Zinc and Lo-ORS, Micronutrient Powders (MNP), iron folic acid (both weekly WIFAS for adolescents and daily IFA during pregnancy), multiple micronutrient supplements (MMS), sq-LNS etc.
