We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Senior Grants Coordinator in Mexico.

Project Description:

FHI 360 seeks a Senior Grants Coordinator for a USAID civil society strengthening program in Mexico. Through the Resilient Civil Society Activity (RSA), USAID/Mexico will strengthen civil society organizations’ (CSOs) ability to develop and apply evidence-based solutions to priority development challenges. The activity will develop CSOs’ organizational and technical capacity to advance evidence-based solutions and network more effectively with allies and partners, providing opportunities for engagement and collaboration with other stakeholders. RSA is expected to be a crosscutting activity that will support CSOs working on USAID/Mexico’s strategic priorities in crime and violence prevention, justice, human rights, transparency, and sustainable landscapes.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Grants Coordinator will be responsible for managing the grants program and supervising the grants team for the Activity. They will run the grants program by development calls for expressions of interest, applications, and proposals from local CSOs and local partners, coordinate the evaluation committees, conduct pre-award assessments, develop grant agreements, and manage the award and disbursement of grant funds. The Senior Grants Coordinator will work directly with the grant recipients to ensure that such awards conform to United States Government (USG) procurement and competition requirements and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the grants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or its international equivalent – in Community Development, Law, Social Work, Public or Business Administration or a related field;

  • Must have at least four (4) years of prior of experience in managing grants and international funds;

  • Experience administering a variety of grant award types, including fixed price agreements, cost reimbursable agreements, and in-kind grants;

  • Proven experience managing grants and/or finance teams;

  • Experience with USAID contractual compliance requirements and management of grants required;

  • Fluent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English required.
