USAID/RDMA RDCS Development Support

Artist/Illustrator, USAID/RDMA Regional Development Cooperation Strategy, FY 2021 – 2025, Washington, DC/Remote

The purpose of this service request is to acquire illustration support for the development of USAID/RDMA’s second generation Regional Development Cooperation Strategy (RDCS FY 2021-2025). Social Impact (SI) is currently under contract with USAID/RDMA to complete this RDCS.

Social Impact is a global development management consulting firm. We provide monitoring, evaluation, strategic planning, and capacity building services to advance development effectiveness. We work across all development sectors including democracy and governance, health and education, the environment, and economic growth. Since 1997 we have worked in over 100 countries for clients such as US government agencies, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and nonprofits.

SI is seeking an artist to illustrate the Results Framework to draw visual links across themes and relationships of the Development Objectives, Intermediary Results, and cross-cutting themes. The illustration will be used as a graphic to aid in visualizing how components of the Results Framework are linked.

The Results Framework is made up of four Regional Development Objectives (RDO) Under each RDO there are Intermediary Results outlined as well that further describe the method of achieving each RDO.


  • Converse with the Social Impact team to discuss the scope of the assignment.

  • Design a visual that shows the relationships and links across themes of the RDOs.

  • Present design concept(s) to the Social Impact team.

  • Incorporate changes recommended by the Social Impact team into the final design.

  • Respond to client requests for edits if needed.

  • Follow USAID branding guidelines.


  • Must have 3-5 years of relevant graphic design experience.

  • Past work with USAID or USG preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Degree in Design or Fine Arts a plus.

  • Keen eye for aesthetics and details.


  • To be completed by the third week of February 2021 (week of February 15th).


  • Draft and final high image resolution visual.

  • PDF version.
