6 months internship to support the promotion of ESC rights in 6 sub-Saharan African countries - starting asap

Human Dignity is a French association working for the progressive realization of economic and social rights in sub-Saharan Africa.

Since the end of 2019, we are implementing a two-year project aimed at promoting ESC rights in 6 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and training representatives of NGOs and French-speaking media.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join us as a part-time intern as soon as possible and provide support for the implementation of this project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the promotion and defense of ESCR, whose neglect has exacerbated the consequences of the current pandemic.

Mission

Human Dignity is looking for an intern for a period of 6 months. Under the guidance and responsibility of the director, the intern will perform the following missions:

  • support the director in the implementation of the project (legal research, mission and training organizations, writing mission reports, partners support)

  • participate in the daily management of the association and the ESCR platform created by the association and composed of 14 associations from sub-Saharan Africa

Profile / experience

  • Compulsory internship agreement

  • Master's degree in human rights required; candidates not possessing / not preparing this diploma will not be preselected

  • Good organizational and editorial skills; force of proposal

  • Fluency in English and French required (fluent written and oral level in English required)

  • Mastery of Pack office

  • Ability to work remotely, within a decentralized team

Conditions

  • Remote work given the health context.
  • Part time: 28h / week from Monday to Thursday
  • 6-month agreement internship
  • Desired start date: as soon as possible
  • compensation at the legal rate
  • For French residents: French restaurant ticket of 8 euros supported at 60%
