Head of Conflict Hub

An exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative leader to strategically develop, grow and nurture Alert’s new Conflict Hub to promote Alerts gender and conflict analysis and sensitivity across multiple internal and external settings.
The individual will lead, strategically develop and financially grow the Conflict Hub, a brand-new entity within our Peacebuilding Advisory Unit (PAU). You will ensure Alert delivers high-quality and innovative gender and conflict analysis and gender and conflict-sensitivity guidance and practice across multiple settings – while also establishing the Conflict Hub as a focal point across key strategic partnerships both institutional and commercial. You will manage and grow a small team within PAU.
You will have proven entrepreneurial drive and be closely connected to relevant peer practice and policy networks and communities. You will ensure Alert remains at the cutting edge of these practice areas and represent our work externally as part of the organisation’s policy influencing agenda.
We believe that to be successful in this job you will be able to combine strategic high-level thinking with business nous that can mobilise peace-relevant resources. You will be able to build and nurture fruitful relations within and across teams to ensure high quality outputs and collaborative donor relations. You will be able to communicate to diverse audiences with authority and empathy about conflict and gender sensitivity.

- Salary: £45,372 plus excellent benefits
- Contract: Permanent/Open-ended
- Based: London, UK (other Alert office based locations considered)
