We are looking for an Area Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator at a pivotal time of transition and change for the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will be working to support shop teams with the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers. To grow the number of volunteers who can support our shops across a geographical area (approx. 18 shops) by understanding individual shop needs, You will support the visibility of local volunteering opportunities and promoting the value and impact of volunteering. You will also be involved with supporting the development and delivery of an area volunteer recruitment strategy through individual shop plans and build strong external partnerships which recruit the right people for the right roles. The role will support and drive area and national recruitment initiatives. Finally, you will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with the area.

This role will be a Fixed term contract for 6 months.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Experienced in volunteer recruitment and/or management preferably gained in the charity sector

· Experience in the delivery of successful volunteer recruitment drives

  • The ability to consider, develop and implement new ideas to attract volunteers
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise and meet targets
  • The ability to work in partnership with others to deliver shared objectives and targets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of computerised systems
  • Knowledge of social media platforms

Offers of employment within the open recruitment stages will be subject to one satisfactory internal reference from a current manager in line with current policy where the selected candidate is moving to a new Division and the role has significantly changed from their current post. Gaining an internal employment reference will not apply to those within ringfence selection or suitable alternative / redeployment situation which falls under Oxfam’s redundancy process.

Conditional offers made in selection stages may also be subject appropriate screening checks. Oxfam GB participates in the Inter Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme. In line with this scheme we will take into account any live disciplinary sanctions a candidate may have when making the selection decision.
