Nutrition Specialist Coordinator (BoT Grantproject ) Job Description The Nutrition Coordinator for the BoT Grant will be responsible to provide highly specialized nutrition technical support and coordination of nutrition interventions in the Amhara region. Through frequent field visits within the region, the nutrition coordinator provides technical support in the implementation of nutrition activities to support the BOT grant, including M&E and advocacy. The coordinator will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement of the nutrition approaches by establishing linkages and networking with partners and institutes working on nutrition in the region and by documenting and sharing best practices.   Major Responsibilities: Provide effective, innovative and strategic coordinating role for implementation of BOT nutrition activities; Develop/modify and disseminate appropriate training and SBCC materials; Ensures collaborative roles and partnerships with other partners, including Zonal Bureau of Health and Bureau of Education; Design appropriate strategies for achieving maximal impact on the Nutrition related factors that contribute to prevention of preterm birth; Collaborate with Zonal level stakeholders to implement the activities in the work breakdown structure of the BOT grant; Develop and support effective linkages and collaborate with key structures to include school teachers, peer groups, HEWs, Men and Women’s groups, and religious leavers; Participate in networking meetings/workshops/conferences with stakeholders at the zonal level; Take a lead in building WV staff and community’s capacities in nutrition through trainings and other information sharing avenues to handle program activities effectively; Ensure quality and timely communication (including Reporting) with the BOT team; Facilitate documentation and sharing of processes, challenges, good practices and lessons learnt among partners; Supervise the use of monitoring tools, including tracking process indicators and reviewing monitoring data. Address issues and adapt program when necessary; Carry out periodic review of the achievements against project indicators and targets; Prepare regular timely reports based on accurate data collection, annual plan of action and budget for the project; Job Requirements Design and modify nutrition activities to contribute to program objective of reducing preterm births;   Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training: ·         BSC degree in Nutrition, Public health, Nursing Sciences, or their equivalent.
