UNHCR’s Regional Office, Washington offers unpaid internships within each of our six units - Caribbean Protection, Government Affairs & External Relations, Public Information, Resettlement, U.S. Protection and Admin/Finance/ICT Unit.

These internships offer undergraduate, graduate and law students a dynamic opportunity to gain direct experience in working with UNHCR to promote and protect the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, stateless individuals and others of concern across the globe.

All internship positions are unpaid. All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by either the interns or their sponsoring institutions.
