The CARE Corporate Council is a new initiative that will engage senior leaders from U.S. based companies in CARE's work.  The Council will strengthen existing corporate partnerships, drive employee engagement, and build awareness of CARE's mission and brand.  It will meet demand for senior-executive engagement, establish corporate champions who will drive CARE’s influence and impact agenda, and cultivate a pipeline of board members and major gift donors. CARE is seeking an experienced professional to establish and lead the CARE Corporate Council.  In the first six months, the Director will work closely with CARE's Corporate Partnerships team and other internal partners to establish a structure and program, tentative planned to include at least one annual meeting, quarterly calls and one international trip every 18 to 24 months. The Director will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to recruit ~20 members in the first year.  S/he will manage day-to-day interactions with Council members, drive toward membership and revenue goals, and plan for growth.  As this is a new initiative, the Director will also be responsible for establishing metrics for success, tracking progress and communicating internally. Responsibilities: Launch CARE Corporate Council  Program Management Partnership Strategy and Cultivation Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: College degree Masters degree in nonprofit management, business or equivalent combination of education and work experience desired At least seven years experience in private sector or nonprofit management, events and/or fundraising.  Some experience managing a volunteer group or association At least 10 years experience in nonprofit management, events and/or fundraising.  Experience successfully launching a membership or volunteer body desired
