Oxfam in Asia website & web content:

  • Manage Oxfam in Asia website and ensure there’s at least one new item added each week
  • Search engine optimization of Oxfam in Asia website so that it shows up top on all relevant search engines in response to relevant search terms
  • Provide training on content creation on the website to all media and communications leads, and support them whenever required
  • Support the production and creative packaging of Oxfam in Asia success stories
  • Design, produce, and maintain the Asia inequality portal – which has an audience-centric presentation of inequality as it relates to the lives of our key public audiences

Asia Social Media Management:

  • Create, update and maintain a signed-off Asia site content calendar on social media. Monitor site analytics
  • Develop, implement, and monitor monthly regional social media calendars. Coordinate with Asia Comms Leads in making sure that the calendar their stories and contributions are incorporated
  • Develop new and creative ways of disseminating Oxfam’s key messages, campaigns, and success stories in Asia and deliver content on a regular basis
  • Devise strategy and deliver on building Oxfam in Asia social media following
  • Introduce new tools, know-how, and automation to create content and produce analytics

Internal Communications:

  • Produce and distribute the once-a-monthly Asia internal newsletter. Collect updates from countries and regional programmes. Promote the highlight content from the newsletter through social media, and submit to Oxfam global monthlies
  • Design and implement a parallel multimedia/video bulletin for broadcasting Asia news in parallel to the regular newsletter
  • Develop and implement regular Workplace content calendar for internal communication. Calendar must promote Asia site content and the monthly Asia newsletter
  • Produce content for internal profiling of Oxfam in Asia strategy, campaigns, and program work throughout the confederation
  • Strategize, develop, and maintain a content plan for Facebook at Workplace with the objectives to 1) strengthen the visibility of works and successes happening in Asia across the confederation, and 2) improve engagement of Asia staff on Facebook at Workplace

Regional Campaigns & Building Supporter Base

  • Provide support to Oxfam in Asia public engagement plans through providing inputs on understanding audience insights and delivering action to build enlisting and maintaining digital supporters
  • Identify digital influencers and partners and establish relationships to promote the digital campaigns of Oxfam in Asia
  • Support the development of campaign strategies in Asia by providing inputs on digital and social strategies
  • Develop and deliver content for campaigns run by Oxfam in Asia including work on Even-it-up, Behind the Price, Enough, and grow
  • Support the digital campaign strategy, design, and deliver as required for country teams of Oxfam in Asia


  • Considerable experience of working in the social and digital media fields at national, regional or international level with specific experience in Asia, demonstrated by a track record of success and achievement
  • A drive to achieve results; a high level of personal energy and pro-activity, demonstrated by concrete examples of achievement and initiative taken in previous roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, fluency in English essential, with the ability to communicate complicated issues in a clear way, and deliver on short deadlines
  • Demonstrable commitment and knowledge of Oxfam’s vision and aims
  • An understanding and experience of how to use social media, communications, public campaigning and alliance-building to influence a political agenda
  • Sound political judgment and sensitivity and knowledge of political and development issues facing Asia
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and networking confidence and skills and ability to influence others, internally and externally
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to find, absorb and prioritise information from many different sources, and proven experience of strategy development
  • Ability to work in multi-national, multi-cultural teams and to develop good, effective and collaborative relationships
  • Ability to capacity build and develop others on digital and social media


Contract Length:** One Year
