Qualified applicants from the following NMS countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Congo, Cabo Verde, Czech Republic, Djibouti, Fiji, Micronesia (Federated States of), Gabon, Guyana, Iceland, Comoros, Lesotho, Libya, Montenegro, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Malawi, Namibia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Seychelles, Slovenia, Suriname, El Salvador, Swaziland, Timor-Leste, Holy See, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vanuatu, Samoa Context: Under the direct supervision of the Head of Logistics and Common Services and in close coordination with the Logistic Officer and Pipeline Coordinator in Juba, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out IOM South Sudan’s overall warehouse operations and administration, prioritizing the key-hubs in Juba, Rumbek and Bor. Core Functions / Responsibilities: In coordination with IOM South Sudan Security Officer and Logistics Officer, implement safety and wellness measures in warehouse management and ensure warehouse support staff follow these measures, including MOSS/SRM requirements. Set up warehouse space, storage layout, warehouse inventory address systems and requirements for handling equipment. In coordination with the Logistics Officer, conduct regular warehouse physical inspection to address any issues including pest, flooding and fire hazards which might result in supplies impairment. Manage the receiving, storing and withdrawal of IOM supplies. Ensure the proper storing of supplies (stock rotation, pallets, stacking, addressing, mixing goods, etc.). Ensure special precautions are taken in handling, storing and disposal of hazardous supplies. Ensure loading/unloading is properly supervised and implemented including all aspects relating to safety and security. In coordination with program units, carry out visual control of supplies received/withdrawn, record anomalies, and schedule warehouse inventory maintenance activities. Provide training for warehouse staff on warehouse procedures and inventory control. Maintain a file containing training records for warehouse employees. Participate in monthly warehouse meetings to review planning/issues and to conduct ad-hoc training. Update warehouse records, documents and files, which includes copies of PRFs, POs, Core pipeline requests, waybills, Goods Received Notes, Packing lists, etc. Warehouse records should accurately reflect actual inventory, receipts, goods returned, withdrawals and impaired goods and losses. Generate weekly inventory tracking reports and monthly warehouse activities reports. Periodically conduct physical inventory counts to ensure the counts conform to values in the inventory tracking system, and to verify the condition of supplies in stock. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Required Qualifications and Experience: Education • Master’s degree in Logistic and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or • University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience. Experience • Proven experience in large-scale warehouse management both in emergency and in development context background; • Experience in shelter-related activities, preferably in construction of large quantity shelters in natural disaster response and other displacement situations; • Broad sector knowledge and/ or field experience in the areas of shelter and disaster; • Experience in risk reduction and management; • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities and with other national and international institutions. Languages Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of any local language is an advantage.
