If you bring a collaborative spirit with a passion to effect change, consider this opportunity as the… Program Coordinator, Teacher Training Program, Cameroon The Program Coordinator, Teacher Training Program (TTP) Cameroon will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Teacher Training Program in Cameroon, ensuring that the program leads to improved delivery of Mathematics education for secondary school students in Cameroon. The Coordinator will ensure that the TTP’s intended outcome of strengthening the pipeline for STEM at the secondary level of learning remains the objective throughout the execution of the program. In this role and reporting to the Director, with a technical reference to MCF Program Manager based at the Secretariat in Kigali, you will be in charge of the implementation of the MCF TTP program activities, monitoring of program quality, performance, delivery of outputs, and outcomes, and dissemination of best practices learned from during implementation. As a leader, and working closely with the Director TTP, you will ensure the effective management of the TTP program activities with full compliance to all donor regulations; ensure monthly budget follow up and appropriate utilization of project budgets. Additionally, you will be required to act as Officer in Charge during the absence of the Director. This is a full-time opportunity based at AIMS Cameroon, Yaoundé. Do you have what we need? · Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience program management and coordination, with a minimum of three years in Africa. · A university degree in humanities, social sciences, management or any other relevant field of study. · Have a proven track record of successful coordination skills with practical experience running offices and training. · Experience in effective people management, including implementation of standard procedures + knowledge and utilization of best practices in administration and operations. · Excellent English and French communication (oral, written and presentation) and analytical skills. · Experience in project formulation, design and overall familiarity with the project management cycle. · In-depth understanding of the development, socio-economic and political context in the Cameroon Education system. · A good understanding of the key trends and emerging issues in the fields of education, especially Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Africa; Understanding of the development planning frameworks in Africa. · Demonstrated experience in working to tight deadlines, and managing pressure; · Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. · Very strong computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) with experience in handling primary and secondary data, presenting information using excel, access and ppt.
