The Country Director is the senior leader and representative for CARE Somalia. S/he will lead the team to ensure the strategic visioning, development, funding, and implementation of CARE’s program portfolio. The County Director will be responsible for fulfilling the CARE International approved “Performance Standards of Country Offices”. S/he will oversee the development, funding and implementation of the Country Office (CO) program portfolio. The person in this role will be responsible for the management of adequate emergency preparedness and emergency programming and operations. S/he will establish and sustain productive relationships and political influence with government officials, donors and strategic partners. The Country Director will lead the CO's fundraising strategy to ensure the CO’s financial viability. An organizational citizen, s/he will contribute to CI's global strategy, shares knowledge and support the generation of evidence to inform CARE's global programming. In this role, the CD will be accountable for competent operational and risk management, including the proper management, well-being and safety of CARE staff and the proper stewardship of CARE's resources. The CD will be innovative, strategic and is expected to model new ways of working, will drive the teams toward the CARE 2020 vision, foster innovation, holistic planning and programming and work to build effective teams, coalitions and networks. CARE USA is seeking a Senior Digital Support Specialist, DC Lead to provide Tier 1 and 2 on-site technical support for devices, software and networks. This person will join a small team of support specialists supporting an environment of 5,000 users. The DC Lead will be a front-line point of contact for staff in our DC office who require help across all Digital supported systems and hardware and will be tasked with resolving or escalating tickets to higher tiers. This will be a split between email/phone/in-person customer support. The Specialist must work well both independently and within a team to provide outstanding communication and optimal customer-centered solutions and service. Candidate must have experience working with software and hardware support and management in an enterprise environment. Responsibilities: Employ customer-centered techniques to determine and resolve problems and respond competently with the appropriate sense of urgency to customer requests. focusing on timely, friendly, knowledgeable service. Assist in managing daily operations of the digital help desk by quickly resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 support tickets. Create and maintain documentation, troubleshooting tips, FAQs, and resolutions to common issues for the Service Desk, always looking to improve/simplify processes for end-users and agents. Define and classify level, priority and nature of problem, request and/or issue. If unable to diagnose problem. escalate the issue to the appropriate   support staff. Responsible for opening, tracking and closing support tickets while ensuring agent accountability and customer satisfaction throughout the ticket lifecycle. Assist Infrastructure team where local hands-on activities are required to include conference room troubleshooting/setup, hardware managemenUsetup, network troubleshooting, etc. Assist in the implementation, configuration, deployment, training and support of enterprise level software and hardware. Provide administration, guidance, and personalized end-user assistance for devices, software, phones, printers, audio & video technology, and networks. Coordinate and conduct digital skill-building training sessions for mobile devices, laptops, desktops and online platforms to ensure staff in the DC office maintain a standard of digital literacy. Draft end-user communication surrounding updates, distribution, and outages of tools and platforms and coordinate communications closely with the DC office manager. Host a schedule of both d rop-in office hours and support-by-appointment, providing dedicated, one-on-one technical support to end-users. Assist with providing one-on-one and group training for peers and customers. This would include Digital onboarding, trainings on new technology, hardware/software and process changes. Maintain and grow industry knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services, and best practices to provide technically accurate, appropriate and creative service solutions for end clients. Track and report on volume of tickets, average response time, time on tickets, tickets open/close, customer satisfaction, and service-level agreement compliance Technical Ticketing Resolution End User Support and Training Device Support Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and +2 years of relevant experience or HS and + 7 years of relevant experience. +2 years of prior help desk experience. +2 years working with Outlook and/or Office 365 in an enterprise environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong familiarity with ticketing systems and help centers/knowledge bases Experience with enterprise software such as Microsoft Office 365, 2010/2013 applications (including Teams, Outlook, Share Point), Salesforce, Zoom, Zendesk Knowledge of PC, Mac, Android, iOS, scanners, printers, tablets, desk phones Experience and knowledge of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computers.

HUMANITARIAN TEAM LEADER

The Emergency Team Leader leads and manages the Northeast Nigeria Emergency Team and is the interface between the Emergency Team and the Country Director and Program Director along with the Regional Emergency Coordinator (REC) for West Africa. The Team Leader is responsible for the quality and effectiveness of CARE’s emergency response within his/her designated area of responsibility. He/she is the leader of the Emergency Team, responsible and accountable for developing, coordinating and managing all emergency activities. He/she directly supervises 3 senior international Sector Program Managers – FNS Manager, SRHR Manager and the GBV and Protection Advisor. The Team Leader works closely with the Safety and Security Manager to ensure the security and well being of emergency staff. Current programming focuses on FNS (significant WFP funding in hard‐to‐reach areas – Food and Cash); Emergency SRHR services (Private Donors, CARE Austria and UNFPA) and GBV Protection (integration of prevention and response). Current preparations include: OFDA CN/proposal; SRHR Private Donors; French MoFA CN; Norwegian MoFA CN; other private donors/foundations. Priorities for following 8 weeks include a focus on deepening quality, staff capacity, compliance with humanitarian principles and standards and resource mobilization.                                                                                                                  Specifics include: Ensure consistent and effective CO participation in sector groups and humanitarian coordination groups in the Northeast. AAR/ RAR outcome. Coordinate and ensure the implementation of recommendations and action plan. Contribute to the CO Presence Review. Inputting into recommendations on model/type of presence that come out of the review analysis. Strengthen the presence and visibility of CARE in Local Government Areas (LGAs) and State level Coordination platforms (Borno and Yobe). Continue actions of improving the living conditions of CARE teams in the field (Guest Houses, vehicle for displacement). Strengthen Program Managers accountability ‐ for analysis of context, documenting and using lessons learned from project implementation, regular assessment of gaps in relevant sectors and services and new and evolving needs of affected populations in order to increase readiness for new proposal development. Strengthen the system of supervision and monitoring quality of field operations through weekly field visits of Sectoral Program Managers. Maintain strategic relations with the WFP Office for the renewal of ongoing FLAs. Work style: Is well planned and organized even within a fluid working environment and has a capacity for initiative and decision making with competent analytical and problem solving skills. Knowledge and skills: knowledge of CARE policies and procedures, Sphere and the Red Cross/ NGO Code of Conduct. Requires general finance, administration, information management and telecommunication skills and proficiency in information technology/ computer skills. 3 – 5 years humanitarian aid experience. Multiple language skills desirable. Minimum of 5 years humanitarian aid experience in complex and natural disasters. High level of all aspects of managerial experience, including managing multi‐million dollar budgets. Experience in complex decision making and leading a multi‐disciplinary, multinational team under difficult circumstances. The highest level of expertise in representation and negotiation with governments and donors. Strong understanding of the humanitarian emergency operating context, including Sphere, the humanitarian system, donors, security, civil military liaison and program management. Relevant language skills for the country of deployment – English in Nigeria. Must pass HEAT trianing
