Kesh Malek Organization would like to announce a new vacant position in the capacity of to lead the organization towards its goals. The Executive director works on developing Kesh Malek’s work strategies, responsible for hiring, supervising, and evaluating the work of the staff, and creating synergies and coordinating between Kesh Malek and the local, national international CSOs.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Represents Kesh Malek in all special and general meetings, conferences, and summits with all actors.

  • Works with Kesh Malek’s Board of Trustees on Kesh Malek’s principled and political positions towards the different events and matters, and ensures that the proper plans and mechanisms are in place to deliver those messages and positions.

  • Assures that Kesh Malek has a long-term strategy that serves its mission.

  • Assures timely implementation to achieve the strategic goals.

  • Develops policies, guidelines, and prioritization of plans and submits them to Kesh Malek's board for endorsement.

  • Responsibles for hiring staff.

  • Supervises the Program Manager and Financial Manager who are reporting directly to the Executive Directors.

  • Evaluates employees' capacity and performance, determine the need for training and capacity building sessions.

  • Ensures staff and Kesh Malek Board have sufficient and up-to-date information, and organizes the Interfaces between Board and employees.

  • Develops with the financial expert an annual budget for review and approval by the Kesh Malek Board.

  • Increases, strengthens Kesh Malek funding sources.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business administration or relevant field.

  • Excellent English.

  • Proven experience as executive director or in other managerial position.

  • Management and delegation skills.

  • Experience in developing strategies and plans.

  • Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques.

  • Strong understanding of organization finance and measures of performance.

  • In depth knowledge of organization governance principles and managerial best practices.

  • An analytical mind capable for “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems.

  • Outstanding organization and leadership abilities.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills.

  • A Syrian holding a Turkish nationality will be an added value.
