Founders Pledge is a global community of founders and investors who have collectively pledged more than $392,000,000 of their personal proceeds from exit (business sale) to high-impact charities.

As a registered charity in the UK, the US and Germany, Founders Pledge’s mission is to make it the norm for technology entrepreneurs to not just give more, but to give more effectively. We do this by asking founders to legally commit to giving as part of a wider movement and providing the research and expertise needed to make informed decisions.

We take a data driven approach to discovering, evaluating and presenting our members with the most effective interventions. This is delivered by our in-house research team, who support our members through tailored reports and recommendations, and the community team, responsible for engaging and presenting these findings - as well as the most promising and exciting developments in the not-for-profit sector - to our wider pledger network.

Working with both the community and research teams you will have a unique opportunity to influence how our pledgers think about charity and approach their donations, and more broadly, shape philanthropy in the tech sector. You will be based in our London HQ with responsibility over international programmes.


You will be joining us at a critical time of establishing our organisation as a thought-leader in philanthropy and beyond. Reporting to the Chief Programme Officer you will refine and focus our membership engagement programmes to ensure they are adding tangible value to our pledgers by informing them of the most effective and exciting opportunities in the not-for-profit sector and beyond.

Whilst we have trialled various formats to both engage and influence our members, your rich experience will be key to best iterate, improve, and refine these opportunities with high levels of independence and flexibility.

You will have two main aims:

  1. Consolidate, develop and drive our programmes behind members’ engagement, looking for new areas of interest and opportunities

  2. Maximise engagement opportunities for our members based in the UK and international markets


  • Evaluate our previous efforts of engaging our community to inform our future programmes strategy
  • Research, suggest and lead on the most impactful ways of engaging our members in thought-leadership through events, field trips, online content and other opportunities
  • Design and lead on members’ events presenting the most effective interventions and innovation in the not-for-profit sector
  • Build and develop relationships with senior figures in the not-for-profit, academia, business and government sectors
  • Manage the community team, focused on members’ engagement
  • Work closely with the research team and find the best way to present their discoveries to our members
  • Develop close relationships within our community of founders and build a thorough understanding of their interests and priorities


  • MA degree or higher in international affairs, international public policy, public health, development economics, or field related to international economic development
  • 5+ years experience in programme design, management and monitoring in international development / global health including substantial field implementation experience
  • Proven alignment with data-driven approach to philanthropy
  • Good understanding of different approaches to philanthropy (effective altruism, systems change, venture philanthropy, place based giving, etc); ideally, good understanding of impact investment
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining senior level relationships with multi-sector partners, including but not limited to donors, international NGOs, academic institutions, business partners, government officials
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with research methods
  • Exceptional communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexible working style and willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Interest in business / tech for good
  • Ideally, experienced in writing / publishing & content curation


  • £40,000 - £45,000
