Background

UNICEF South Sudan requires the services of a home-based Communication for Development consultant to support technical review of KAP studies, rapid assessments reports along with developing research publications, policy papers, training modules etc.

Specific Tasks and deliverables

1) Produce inception report through a systematic and thorough desk review of secondary data and background documents in the area of study.

2) Interpret primary data analysis, integrate with secondary data and highlight tope line findings of the study

3) Produce high quality report document

4) Produce technical documents to guide implementation of C4D interventions such as training modules, guidelines and hand books,

5) Documentation of lessons learned and insights, case studies and evidences.

Reporting: Reporting to the Communication for Development Specialist in Juba office

Data compilation, research reports, edits, presentations as requested by the office time to time.

Location: The Consultant will work from home using his/her own facilities

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor degree in Social/behaviour sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and health education) with emphasis on research/monitoring and evaluation/information management.

- A minimum two years of progressive responsible professional work experience in areas of monitoring and evaluation/ information management.

- Relevant experience in related area (as identified above) in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.

- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required, knowledge of on an additional UN language will be considered as an assets.

General Conditions:

- Terms of payment: payment upon completion of the deliverables.

- Note that final payment to a consultant is dependent on the completion of deliverables.

- Interested candidates are asked to submit a daily fee. Payment for deliverables will be calculated by number of days worked.
