From ready-to-eat emergency food being given to people fleeing ISIL to cash assistance helping Syrian refugees get back on their feet, WFP is there to help.


At this level, job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to various queries with only general guidance. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen operational problems on a daily basis. Job holders are expected to manage resources and coach and coordinate support staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Provide technical support on partnership management to guide the development and implementation of programme activities and related processes alignment with the established policies and guidelines on partnership management.

  2. Support the budget discussion processes with NGO partners in collaboration with the Programme Activity focal points, Sub Office and Logistics teams including scheduling of meetings, preparing notes for the record, preparing correspondences with partners;

  3. Prepare draft field level agreements for the partnership between WFP and NGO partners;

  4. Support with the timely entry of Field Level Agreements records in the WFP system;

  5. Maintain up to date tracking of the agreement budgets, commitments in the WFP system and actual expenditures (payments to partners) against planned targets and provide advice on discrepancies, implications and appropriate actions;

  6. Maintain up to date and efficient filing of all agreement records for both hard and electronic copies;

  7. Draft external correspondences related to partnerships and provide information/data on partnerships for external reporting/briefings

  8. Maintain an up to date list of contacts of all NGO partner focal points;

  9. Lead the NGO partner performance monitoring, documentation and filing, coordinating timely input from all relevant entities;

  10. Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government on partnership management issues

  11. Oversee and/or review the work of other support staff, providing practical advice and guidance, to contribute to delivering objectives to agreed standards and deadlines.
