Estonia: Livelihoods Programming Trainer, short-term in Estonia

We are looking for a Livelihoods Programming Trainer to carry out a 3-day training/consultancy for a small group of professionals in Estonia. The training/consultancy must take place between December 2017 and February 2018.

The goal of the training/consultancy is to give selected ERC staff an overview of the specifics of the livelihoods sector and programming, to convey the best practices in this sector, and to help the organization in drafting a strategic concept note for ensuing livelihoods programmes.

The training/consultancy should in minimum cover the following topics:

  • needs assessment for and setting up livelihoods activities;
  • types of livelihoods projects (cash-based and in-kind, long-term and one-off interventions);
  • best practices in livelihoods programming and livelihoods project design;
  • monitoring and impact assessment of livelihoods projects.

Essential requirements:

  • considerable and demonstratable experience with livelihoods projects and programming;
  • strong teaching/facilitation skills;
  • willingness to travel to Estonia;
  • fluent in English.

Trainers from the U.S. are given priority, due to special funding to cover logistical costs to/fro the U.S.
