TEAM PURPOSE:

CaLP is the global partnership for cash transfer programming in humanitarian aid. Our mission is to radically increase the scale and quality of cash transfer programming. We enable the collaboration necessary among different organisations to develop practical solutions to collective problems in the sector. Since our founding in 2005, CaLP has been at the forefront of promoting and improving cash transfer programming across the humanitarian sector. We have recently refreshed our global strategy and are at an exciting moment, poised to help humanitarian agencies deliver on their major commitments on cash.

CaLP currently has over 50 members, united by their commitment to our shared mission. They deliver the vast majority of cash transfer programming in humanitarian aid worldwide. Our members include UN agencies, donors, international NGOs, local NGOs and private sector organisations.

JOB PURPOSE:

This position will play a vital role in supporting wider administration of training organisation and training delivery within CaLP, including, tracking of capacity building data, maintenance of the training roster, developing and managing training booking systems, and supporting on training payments and invoicing. CaLP is bringing courses on-line, a Learning Management System (LMS). This role will support the development and administration of CaLP’s LMS and will manage the site when fully operational. CaLP’s LMS is hosted by the Humanitarian Leadership Academy via their online platform Kaya.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Required:

· Knowledge of managing and maintaining Learning Management Systems, including:

o curating and administration of online content,

o managing online booking systems,

o ability to upload new courses/curriculums and test functionality,

o troubleshoot technical issues

· Experience of developing and maintaining operational systems relating to training (including booking systems, payment systems and other elements of training delivery).

· Understanding of key aspects of the training cycle (recruiting facilitators, planning venues, enrolling participants, managing payment, invoicing, performance analysis, etc)

· Strong written English, and ability to succinctly summarise and describe course information for an external audience

· Strong problem solving skills

· Demonstrated initiative and independence for identifying and carrying out work tasks

· Ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders, including working with remote teams globally

· Ability to manage tasks and keep them on time and on budget

· Excellent organisational skills, including knowledge/experience of using information management systems for keeping clear records and tracking information.

Desirable:

· Ability to write basic HTML code and/or basic knowledge/understanding of CSS

· Knowledge/Experience of using Totara and/or Moodle/open source LMS platforms

· Working knowledge of any of the following languages: French/Spanish/Arabic

· Outwards-facing customer service experience – dealing with complaints, supporting learners to access content, etc.

· Project management skills
