CARE USA seeks an enthusiastic, hard-working and creative fellow to partner in the Office of the President in our efforts to end poverty for good. The fellow will work closely with the Executive Associate to complete a variety of day-to-day tasks as well as long-term projects, including:  compiling the daily briefing book, planning CEO travel, cultivating the CEO’s personal social media presence, and envisioning efficiencies in the Office of the President.  Moreover, the fellow will assist in crafting the CEO’s daily schedule, coordinating the necessary logistics, anticipating potential problems and addressing them before they arise. Learning Objectives: The fellow will be part of a dynamic team and have ample opportunity to learn about CARE’s work, interface with knowledgeable and passionate CARE staff at all levels, and through diligence and ingenuity contribute meaningfully to CARE’s mission. Primary Responsibilities: The fellow’s primary responsibilities include the following, but could grow to encompass far more Coordinate the CEO briefing process – request, track and organize various materials from a great number of sources, ultimately creating daily packets of prep material for the CEO Serve as the “face” of the Office of the President – greet external guests and visitors, as well as assist in managing the interoffice traffic of staff through the Office Manage executive correspondence – prepare letters, reply to invitations, and tee up e-mails Liaise with staff across the organization in an effort to coordinate projects, tasks and deadlines Research myriad subjects and draft materials as needed Assist in event planning as needed Other duties as assigned Primary Skills: Effective communicator Strong writing skills Strong ability to prioritize and organize Proven problem solver Experience in managing a wide range of tasks Team player Proficient in English (Verbal & Written) Proficient in MS Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
