Oxfam GB is part of the Oxfam family which includes another 20 national affiliates all working together to achieve the ‘Power of People over Poverty’ in over 90 countries worldwide.

The Campaigns, Policy and Influencing Team (CPIT) leads Oxfam GB’s influencing agenda and our UK facing campaigning, advocacy and programming. In the UK, the team is spread across our offices in Scotland, Wales, Manchester, London, Cardiff and our headquarters in Oxford with some colleagues working for and with other Oxfam affiliates around the world. The team works to develop and deliver effective campaigns and advocacy strategies which promote a more human economy that works for everyone and not just the fortunate few.

As a member of the CPIT leadership team, you will contribute to shaping advocacy strategy, and ensuring our advocacy effectiveness.

What are we looking for

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced advocacy leader who can increase Oxfam’s political influence to end poverty in the world. We need someone with a track record of developing successful advocacy strategies, with strong relationship building and negotiation skills, sound political judgement, and great people management experience.

This is a key senior role in Oxfam GB and you will shape our advocacy priorities, be a member of the senior management group in the Campaigns division and have a UK, devolved nation and international political relations remit for Oxfam GB. You will play a key role in ensuring we collaborate effectively with advocacy and campaign colleagues in other organisations and other nations to shape the UK’s role in the world.
