In Jordan, Palladium is implementing the Health Finance and Governance Activity (HFG), a 5 year cooperative agreement funded by USAID. The overall goal of HFG is to promote a locally-led, politically smart, adaptive process to preserve Jordan's impressive gains in health, and foster a more sustainable and resilient health sector capable of responding to current and future needs. The Palladium team-Palladium, ThinkWell, ECO Consult, and the Jordan Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD)-will leverage its relational and technical expertise to bolster the foundation for progress through an enabling policy environment and evidence to inform budgeting, financial management, policymaking, and monitoring in the health sector of the country. Objective of the scope: The training coordinator will have responsibility for the coordination and administration of a range of training activities and projects as well as ensuring the maintenance of robust learning and development systems and processes.

Tasks Under the supervision of director of technical integration, the training coordinator will:

  • Establish systems and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the service offering.
  • Communicate and follow up with training participants as needed
  • Coordinate with the operations officer to arrange hospitality, room layout and equipment for participants attending workshops and events
  • Liaise with trainers, booking training rooms, printing and distributing course materials and ensuring required equipment is available and in working order for the efficient running of all relevant events.
  • Prepare training master files according to USAID requirements
  • Conduct training evaluation analysis and prepare training reports according to HFG standards.

  • Relevant bachelor's degree required

  • Five years of Training work experience with donor-funded health and development programs in Jordan

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Excel

  • Experienced communicator

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams

  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision

  • Well-developed and effective organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively, and work in a high-pressured environment

  • Willingness to take on additional tasks, as requested, to support work of the team

  • Good written and verbal communication, liaison, and interpersonal skills

  • Fluency in English and Arabic required

  • Only Jordanian candidates may apply for this position
