The Psychosocial Support Advisor will provide technical leadership for the project on strengthening interventions related to the psychosocial wellbeing of children. This will include but not be limited to strengthening approaches, knowledge, skills and abilities of the Government staff and LIPs on PSS. S/he will strengthen PSS services for OVC and HHs and LIP capacity to enable them perform their roles.
The incumbent will advise on the PSS component of drop-in centers and peer mentorship; guide use of CRS’ OVC Wellbeing Tool.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Psychology, social work, social sciences, education or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ professional field experience in psychosocial support, preferably in an HIV/OVC context.
- Familiarity with child development and its application in a programming context.
- Experience working with local partners and participatory methods for child integration and promotion of psychosocial support.
Experience working in consortiums with both international and local NGO partners.
Experience in implementing donor-funded projects
